Deep Vein Thrombosis is a serious medical condition where a blood clot forms in a deep vein, usually in the legs. If left untreated, the clot can travel to the lungs causing a life-threatening condition called a pulmonary embolism.

Symptoms

  • Sudden swelling in one leg

  • Pain or tenderness in the leg

  • Warm skin around the affected area

  • Red or discolored skin

  • Visible surface veins
